Archaeology.

I’ve got the archives up and running a bit quicker than I expected. The importing was pretty straightforward; it just took a while going through all the posts assigning categories and filling in a few missing titles. There’s probably a few links left in there that go to old blog entries on Twoshoes, but that shouldn’t be a problem as I have no plans to delete those archives.

Next up: skinning the comments boxes, not least because the default skin isn’t behaving 100% right on my machine (IE6 + WinXP). Don’t know why, but there ya go. Also, my permalinks aren’t going to anchors. That’s what I get for doing my own templates from scratch.

A change is as good as a rest.

Welcome to marramgrass.

This is the new home for my weblog, previously found over at Twoshoes. I’ve spent a little time over Christmas trying to get the hang of Movable Type (which is very nice, by the way - but I know you already knew that) and mucking around with the design for this site. It’s a little bland, I know, and I haven’t got as far as the comment boxes yet, but it’s home…

Over the next while I plan to fiddle around and import all my old posts from Blogger, but don’t hold your breath.

In the meantime, hopefully this will be normal service resumed.

Drive-by posting.

Look at the date of the last post: 10 Nov. That’s a month and seven days ago.

Oh dear.

In my defence, moving house, a holiday, a busy time at work, etc, etc.

Well, won’t happen again. At least, after a little longer it won’t happen again. Like it’s author, this blog is moving house, to a new dedicated domain. And I’m going to take the opportunity to change its name to something I’ve wanted to write under for years, and migrate to MT as well.

All will be revealed over Christmas when I’ve a bit less on!

Pax.
