		<description>If these authors are whingeing about the money they have to fork out then they should do their visits as volunteers rather than as part of their jobs... then it would be free! However, I am sure their publishers would be able to sub them some money. It would be a bit of a pain, mind you, if (pre ISA) they had to fill out a check form for every school visited... 
However, you are right, the whole thing has got very silly... In many cases it is not child protection at all but organisation, or at best volunteer/staff protection. 
Today tho&#039; we had a situation where I was glad we had a clearly defined policy...
